About

I am a South African involved in the ERP (enterprise resource planning) software field, and work for ERP vendor SYSPRO in Johannesburg; my role is Product and Industry Marketing.

My career spans technical and database programming; data warehousing and decision support software; marketing and business partner management; and over 10 years of ERP sales, support and project management. I have worked in and around JD Edwards, Microsoft Dynamics NAV and SYSPRO.

Although I have never worked with any pioneers of ERP, I was fortunate enough once to work with date warehousing pioneer, Ralph Kimball.

    Hi Simon,
I came across your blog recently as I was doing some research on ERP. I had
a few questions and was wondering what would be the best way to get in contact with you to discuss a few of them?

    Thanks!

Hi Simon. Id be interested to see what project management software you are using for your ERP work. We use Vertabase (http://www.vertabase.com.) that enables teams to focus on innovation because it supplies web2.0 tools that enable creative conversations and group wisdom. What are your thoughts?

    Hi Simon,

I have been following your blog for a while and thought of you when i was given a recent video piece to promote. That is because its about ERP systems and manufacturing. Its done in a humorous style and i think you will quite like it. I was wondering whether you might be interested in using it on your blog.
